Role Overview
The IBDP Maths Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that promote deep conceptual understanding in Mathematics and give students the skills needed for higher education success. The role includes teaching IB Mathematics courses, supporting internal assessments, and motivating students to explore how math connects with real-world challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IBDP Mathematics to students in Grades 11 and 12
- Design effective lesson plans aligned with IB expectations
- Support students with assessments and exam preparation
- Track achievement and provide regular feedback
- Collaborate with the Mathematics Department to enhance curriculum quality
- Encourage independent inquiry and strong numeracy skills
- Participate in school initiatives and professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field
- Teaching certification such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of IBDP Mathematics and international curricula
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Proactive, student-centered approach to teaching and curriculum improvement
- High proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to build strong partnerships with students, colleagues, and parents
- Confidence in integrating educational technology into lessons
