Role Overview
The IBPYP Mathematics Teacher will play a vital role in designing and delivering engaging, inquiry-based mathematics lessons within the IB Primary Years Programme framework. The successful candidate will encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and conceptual understanding while fostering a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons aligned with the IBPYP framework.
- Foster inquiry-based learning and support students’ individual growth.
- Collaborate with co-teachers to create a bilingual, engaging classroom environment.
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to support each child’s development.
- Participate in school events, professional learning, and community initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international school.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics pedagogy and the IBPYP curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and curriculum innovation.
- High proficiency in English; Mandarin knowledge is an advantage.
