Role Overview
The IGCSE / IBDP English Teacher will teach senior school students and help them master essential language and literature skills. The role includes guiding learners through classic and contemporary texts, academic writing, research-based assignments, and oral communication. The teacher will encourage analytical thinking, cultural understanding, and creative expression while preparing students for success in examinations and future academic pursuits.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IGCSE and IBDP English through engaging and student-focused instruction
- Design innovative lesson plans that build strong literacy and analytical abilities
- Help students produce well-structured writing and participate in meaningful discussions
- Assess progress and provide constructive guidance for improvement
- Encourage learners to explore global perspectives through literature
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and academic initiatives

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification such as QTS, PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent
- At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience
- Experience teaching IGCSE, IBDP, or other international curricula strongly preferred
- Excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom leadership
- Commitment to continuous learning and academic innovation
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Confident in using technology to support high-quality instruction
