Role: Inclusion Learning Support Assistant
As an Inclusion Learning Support Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or additional learning requirements. This role involves working closely with teachers and parents to implement tailored strategies that help students overcome challenges and thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with learning differences by implementing personalized learning strategies.
- Assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons that meet diverse learning needs.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to reinforce key concepts and encourage skill development.
- Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents when necessary.
- Promote independence and confidence by encouraging students to take an active role in their learning.
- Collaborate with the inclusion department to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Preferably hold a CACHE Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- A SEN qualification or relevant certification is desirable.
- Recent school-based experience, particularly within a classroom or inclusion department.
- Experience in a primary school setting is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a caring and patient approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding, child protection, and student well-being.
