Role: Inclusion Teacher (Grades 9-12)

The Inclusion Teacher will work with Grades 9-12 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing tailored support to help them achieve academic success. This role requires a strong understanding of inclusive education and the ability to create an environment where all students, regardless of their challenges, feel supported and motivated to excel. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure a holistic, inclusive approach to teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to SEN students in Grades 9-12, helping them access the curriculum effectively.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with subject teachers.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation, social-emotional learning, and personal growth.
• Use differentiated instruction to meet the needs of students with diverse learning requirements.
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate best practices for inclusive teaching across subjects and disciplines.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them build confidence and resilience in their academic and personal lives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Educational Needs (SEN), Inclusion, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with SEN students in a Grades 9-12 setting. Experience within an IB curriculum school is preferred but not mandatory.
• A strong understanding of the IB framework and Approaches to Teaching (preferred).
• Advanced qualifications in SEN or Inclusion are preferred but not essential.
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and a commitment to fostering student success.
