Role Overview

As a Kindergarten Teacher at Carmel School, you will play a vital role in shaping the foundation of young learners’ education. You will create an engaging and safe classroom environment, deliver inquiry-based lessons, and encourage children to develop a love for learning. This role also offers the chance to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to curriculum design, and support the school’s holistic approach to education.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student growth
• Use creative teaching strategies to support literacy, numeracy, and social development
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing individualized feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community
• Integrate technology and innovative practices into classroom teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in kindergarten or early years settings
• Familiarity with international curricula such as the IB PYP
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, international school community
• Commitment to professional growth and curriculum development
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
