Role Overview: Lower Primary Teacher
As a Lower Primary Teacher, you will create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that supports young students in developing core literacy, numeracy, and inquiry skills. You will foster a love for learning and build foundational competencies that support each child’s social, emotional, and academic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver creative and age-appropriate lessons aligned with international standards
- Foster students’ curiosity, confidence, and independence through active learning
- Use a range of instructional strategies and formative assessments to support progress
- Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers to support student growth
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary activities
- Participate in school events, professional development, and community-building initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in early years or primary education
- Familiarity with international or Singaporean curricula is an advantage
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to integrate educational technology into daily teaching
- Proactive, reflective, and committed to continuous professional development
