Key Responsibilities
The successful Lower Secondary Science Teacher will:
- Plan and deliver interactive Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum.
- Prepare students for IGCSE Science assessments and support their academic achievement.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners in the classroom.
- Regularly monitor and assess student understanding, offering constructive and timely feedback.
- Foster an inclusive, student-centered classroom that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
- Contribute to extracurricular Science activities, school-wide projects, and events.
- Collaborate with Science department colleagues to refine curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student learning and communicate effectively with parents and school leaders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related Science discipline
- Valid teaching credential (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience, ideally in an international or Cambridge school
- Deep understanding of IGCSE Science curriculum and assessment methods
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for teaching in an international, multicultural school setting
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Commitment to professional development and innovation in education
