This school is based in Brasilia, Brazil and is looking for a Math Teacher

School of the Nations is an international, private, not-for-profit, coeducational, dual-language day school. We are accredited internationally by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and nationally by the Secretary of Education of the Federal District.  We provide a rigorous bilingual academic curriculum complemented by our moral education program, the arts, and sports. Moral education fosters students’ understanding of the dynamic role they play in constructing a peaceful, just, and sustainable society.

Main responsibilities: Provide engaging, high-level instruction for middle and high school math courses, including advanced Calculus and Statistics courses offerings (AP – Advanced Placement)*. Design and implement lessons that meet AP standards, preparing students for AP exams*. Create a supportive and challenging learning environment that encourages critical thinking and analytical skills. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional planning, and assessment. Participate actively in department meetings, professional development, and required training.

Requirements:

• Mathematics License Degree. Master’s degree in Mathematics is a desirable.
• Bilingual in Portuguese and English. Teaching certification and/or prior experience with AP math courses strongly preferred*.
• Proven ability to motivate and inspire students through innovative and engaging instruction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to complete training specific to AP standards and school instructional practices.
