This school is based in Saanen, Switzerland and is looking for a Mathematics Cover or Supply Teacher.

We are currently seeking a Mathematics Cover or Supply Teacher to join our team, contributing positively to our collaborative culture and ethos.

Responsibilities:

• Contributing positively to the collaborative culture and ethos of the school, fostering an environment of respect and support.
• Attending whole school and departmental meetings as required, actively participating in discussions and contributing ideas.
• Supporting the social and emotional well-being of the students in their classes, providing a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Liaising with the Homeroom, Grade Level Teachers, and IPC/IMYC Coordinator to ensure that the programme requirements are met within the classes taught.
• Demonstrating effective classroom management that shows an understanding of the academic, social, and emotional dimensions of learning.
• Using technology to enhance learning, integrating digital tools and resources effectively into classroom instruction.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field.
• Current classroom teacher qualification to teach at Primary and Middle School level.
• Minimum 3 years of recent and relevant Primary and Middle School classroom experience.
• Experience in an international school environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge and experience of the IPC/IMYC curriculum is advantageous.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in teaching learners with diverse needs, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in instructional approaches.
• Strong classroom management skills, maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Empathy and strong social skills, building rapport with students and fostering a sense of belonging.
• Valid Swiss work permit.

Terms and Conditions:

The contract will be on an on-call basis, with generous salary conditions applying.
