Role Overview
The Middle & High School Chemistry Teacher will design and deliver engaging, experiment-driven lessons that help students understand key principles of chemistry while building analytical and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will incorporate laboratory investigations, real-world applications, and digital learning tools to make lessons dynamic and meaningful. Collaboration with colleagues and contribution to science enrichment initiatives will be integral parts of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Chemistry to middle and high school students following international curriculum frameworks
- Plan and deliver hands-on lessons that promote scientific exploration and critical thinking
- Conduct safe and engaging laboratory experiments that reinforce theoretical concepts
- Integrate digital tools, simulations, and technology-enhanced learning techniques
- Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous academic improvement
- Support school-wide science activities, clubs, and competitions
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and academic leaders to ensure holistic student growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience at the middle or high school level
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IGCSE, IB, or Cambridge programs
- Strong understanding of Chemistry concepts and laboratory practices
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
