This school is based in Manama, Bahrain and is looking for an ES Arabic Homeroom Teacher.

To deliver high-quality Arabic language instruction to elementary students, fostering their linguistic and academic development within an international school environment.

  • Preferably have PYP (Primary Years Programme) experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Duties:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Arabic language lessons to elementary students.
  • Create a dynamic classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning Arabic.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Develop and utilize teaching materials and resources that align with the school’s curriculum and standards.

 

Student Support:
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and motivated.
  • Address individual learning needs, offering additional support and differentiation as required.
  • Encourage and support students in developing their Arabic language skills and knowledge.

 

Classroom Management:
  • Maintain an organized and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies to ensure a productive and respectful learning space.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive educational setting.

 

Curriculum Development:
  • Participate actively in curriculum development and review processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of the Arabic language program.
  • Stay updated with best practices in Arabic language teaching and integrate them into the classroom.

 

Communication:
  • Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Provide regular updates on student progress and classroom activities.
  • Engage with the school community to promote a collaborative and inclusive educational environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Arabic Mother Tongue.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Major in Arabic) and a teacher certification/diploma or B.Ed. in Early Childhood Education.
  • Applicants for Kindergarten positions must have an Early Childhood qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching elementary students is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
  • PYP experience will be an advantage.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

 

Contract:
  • The school offers a two-year renewable contract.
  • Commencement salaries with 1% GOSI tax and allowances will be based on the level of experience, paid in Bahraini Dinars.
  • Furnished apartment, annual return air ticket, medical insurance, utilities paid by the school up to BD 50 per month, shipping, and settling-in allowance.
