Elementary French Teacher, Eastwood International School, Lebanon

This school is based in Mansourieh El Metn, Lebanon and is looking for an Elementary French Teacher. 

Eastwood International School is seeking a passionate and skilled Elementary French Teacher to join our dynamic team for the 2024/25 academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality French language instruction to young learners, fostering a love for the French language and culture, and supporting students’ overall development.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French language lessons tailored to elementary school students.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes the French language and culture while meeting educational standards.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods and instructional strategies to cater to various learning styles and needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to enhance their language skills.

Classroom Management:

• Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-organized classroom environment.
• Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
• Address student behavior issues in accordance with school policies and guidelines.

Professional Development:

• Participate in the school’s professional development program to continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge.
• Stay updated on current trends and best practices in French language education.
• Integrate new methodologies and technologies to enhance instructional practices.

Parental Engagement:

• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities.
• Foster strong relationships with parents to support student success.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school events.

Community Engagement:

• Participate in school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and cohesive school community.
• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in French Language, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching diploma or certification.
• Proven experience in teaching French to elementary school students.
• Strong understanding of elementary education principles and child development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology.
• Fluent in French and English; proficiency in Arabic is an asset.
