Secondary French Teacher, Raffles World Academy, United Arab Emirates

This school is based in Dubai, UAE and is looking for a Secondary French Teacher.

Raffles World Academy is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Secondary French Teacher to join our language department. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to our students’ linguistic and cultural education in a vibrant and multicultural environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a comprehensive French curriculum that engages secondary level students.
• Foster a supportive and stimulating classroom environment to enhance students’ language acquisition and fluency.
• Utilize diverse teaching strategies and technological tools to cater to different learning styles.
• Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to support student progress.
• Organize and facilitate language immersion experiences, including cultural activities, clubs, and exchanges, to deepen students’ understanding of Francophone cultures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches to language learning.
• Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in French, Education with a specialization in French, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or qualification for secondary education.
• Proficiency in French at a native or near-native level, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A minimum of two years’ experience teaching French at the secondary level.
• Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods in the classroom.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
