Role Overview
The MS/HS Health/PE Teacher will create engaging lessons that promote fitness, health awareness, sportsmanship, and teamwork. The role includes coaching, supporting extracurricular activities, and encouraging students to develop lifelong habits of wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach physical education and health classes to middle and high school students
- Foster teamwork, resilience, and respect through sports and physical activities
- Coach school athletic teams and lead extracurricular programs
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Integrate physical education into the holistic IB learning framework
- Collaborate with colleagues to support school-wide initiatives and events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Health, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB setting
- Strong knowledge of health and physical education practices
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Enthusiasm for teaching in a diverse, multicultural school community
- Ability to integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning
