This school is based in Parañaque, Philippines and is looking for a Music Teacher

The German European School Manila (GESM) is a non-profit, private international school offering Kindergarten to Grade 12 in German and in English. We are an officially recognized German school abroad, an IB World School, and a Cambridge International School. Our faculty and student body represent 40 to 50 nationalities.

The Teacher of Music is responsible for delivering high-quality education in accordance with the school’s curriculum and educational standards. This role involves preparing lesson plans, conducting classes, assessing student progress, and supporting the overall learning experience. The teacher must maintain a conducive learning environment and contribute to the development of the students both academically and personally

Qualifications

▶ Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
▶ Valid teaching certification/license.
▶ Proven experience as a classroom teacher, preferably in a primary-Secondary school setting.
▶ Strong classroom management skills.
▶ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
▶ Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students.
▶ Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
▶ Musical Expertise: Proficiency in one or more instruments and a strong understanding of music theory and history.
▶ Teaching Skills: Ability to create engaging and inclusive lessons for students of varying skill levels.
▶ Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
▶ Creativity: Innovative approaches to teaching music and encouraging self-expression.
▶ Organizational Skills: Efficient management of lessons, events, and resources.
