VFIS, based in Ho Chi Minh City, is the first international school in Southeast Asia to implement the Finnish education model. As a non-profit institution, VFIS offers two comprehensive academic pathways:
- An international program based on the Finnish National Core Curriculum
- A bilingual program that blends the Vietnamese National Curriculum with Finnish educational methodologies

Role Summary: Music Teacher
As a Music Teacher at VFIS, you will design and deliver engaging music lessons that nurture students’ artistic expression, performance skills, and appreciation for diverse musical genres. Your role will involve developing curriculum content, organizing performances, and contributing to the school’s vibrant arts program. You will work closely with students of various age groups to help them explore their musical talents and build confidence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in music or a similar role
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of music education
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Proficient in integrating technology into music instruction
- Self-driven, creative, and collaborative
- Committed to continuous professional development
- Skilled in building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
