The Foundation of the International School of Geneva

This school is based in Geneva, Switzerland and is looking for a Teacher of Drum.

The Child Psychologist will work with individual students and groups of students, parents, staff, and teachers to support students with personal and social developmental issues, academic difficulties, and other concerns. This role involves providing a wide array of services ranging from assessment and diagnosis to crisis intervention and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborative Support:
    • Work in collaboration with the teaching team, parents, and families to provide support and advice to students.
    • Partner with all Secondary School staff to provide support and advice for inclusion.
    • Work closely with students and the teaching team of Support Services (Learning Support and Extended Support Programme).
  • Assessment and Referral:
    • Identify needs for assessment and support the school team and family with appropriate referrals to external professionals.
    • Liaise and work with outside specialists in the follow-up of specific situations.
  • Program Development:
    • Provide programs in class and small groups to support the social and emotional growth and development of students.

 

Candidate Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Clinical Child and Adolescence Psychology.
  • A license to practice psychology in Canton de Vaud.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with children in a multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of local agencies/resources surrounding children’s issues in general and mental health in particular.
  • Fluency in English or French with an excellent working knowledge of the other language (level C1).
  • Empathetic and rigorous.
  • Sensitive to diversity and multiculturalism.
  • Adaptability and teamwork skills.
