Music Teacher, Nün Academy, Saudi Arabia

This school is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and is looking for an EYFS Teacher.

Principal Role: The Music Teacher at Nün Academy is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive music education program that fosters a love of music and enhances students’ musical skills. The teacher will create an engaging, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment where students can explore and develop their musical talents. The Music Teacher will also contribute to the broader school community through performances, events, and extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development and Delivery:

• Design and implement a music curriculum that aligns with the school’s educational standards and goals.
• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated music lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Introduce students to a variety of musical genres, instruments, and music theory.
• Foster students’ creativity and self-expression through music.

Classroom Management:

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing regular feedback and support.

Performance and Events:

• Organize and direct school concerts, recitals, and other musical performances.
• Encourage and prepare students to participate in school and community music events.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into school-wide projects and events.

Student Support:

• Provide individualized instruction and support to students to help them achieve their musical potential.
• Identify and support students with special musical talents and interests.
• Foster students’ confidence and self-esteem through positive reinforcement and encouragement.

Professional Development:

• Stay current with developments in music education and best practices.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and training sessions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and strategies for effective teaching.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Provide regular updates to parents on students’ progress and achievements.
• Foster positive relationships with students to support their emotional and social development.

Required Candidate Profile:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field; a teaching certification is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching music to children, preferably in a school setting.
• Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments.
• Experience in organizing and directing musical performances and events.
