Role Overview
The MYP/DP ICT Teacher will design and deliver innovative lessons that foster digital literacy, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills. You will encourage students to explore technology as a tool for creativity, collaboration, and global communication. This role requires subject expertise, an inquiry-based teaching approach, and the ability to support learners across the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programme levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver ICT lessons aligned with the IB MYP and DP curriculum
- Use inquiry-based and project-based learning strategies to engage students
- Integrate digital tools and new technologies to enhance learning outcomes
- Assess student progress and provide constructive, timely feedback
- Support extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics, or digital media projects
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and cross-disciplinary initiatives
- Contribute to the wider school community and student well-being initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, ideally in an IB or international school setting
- Strong knowledge of ICT, computer science, and digital tools for education
- Familiarity with the IB MYP and DP frameworks
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High level of proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to professional growth, innovation, and lifelong learning
