The academy provides a “glocalized” curriculum, blending Hong Kong’s local education framework with internationally recognized programs such as the International Baccalaureate (IB).

Role Overview
The MYP English Teacher will teach English within the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP). The role involves delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ skills in reading, writing, speaking, and critical analysis. The teacher will also foster a love of literature, encourage strong communication skills, and support students in connecting language learning to real-world contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English across the IB MYP, following curriculum standards and school guidelines.
- Design and deliver interactive lessons that develop critical thinking and creativity.
- Use varied assessment methods to monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback.
- Promote a love for literature and effective communication in diverse contexts.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and cross-disciplinary initiatives.
- Contribute to extracurricular programs and whole-school activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience, ideally in an international school.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of English language and literature.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and innovation.
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, multicultural school community.
