The Role: Performing Arts (Music) Teacher
As a Performing Arts (Music) Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Music and Performing Arts lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
- Develop creative teaching strategies that encourage students to explore various musical genres, instruments, and performance techniques.
- Guide students in developing their musical abilities through practical lessons, theory, and performance opportunities.
- Plan and direct school concerts, musicals, and performances to showcase student talent.
- Encourage student involvement in extracurricular music programs, ensembles, and community events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into cross-curricular projects.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to support individual learning needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- A valid teaching license such as QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Music and Performing Arts in a British curriculum school.
- A passion for creating an inclusive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
- Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- A willingness to participate actively in school life, including performances, events, and extracurricular activities.
