Oslo International School (OIS) is seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher who is passionate about student-centered learning, possesses exemplary teaching skills, fosters strong collaborative relationships, and is committed to enhancing the physics program and school community.

As a member of the Science Team at OIS, the Physics Teacher plays a pivotal role in upholding academic excellence and developing an inclusive curriculum that aligns with the IB Diploma programme. Our physics teachers are proactive educators who inspire and challenge students to excel, both inside and outside the classroom. They provide enriching co-curricular opportunities, including collaborations with the University of Oslo, to enhance students’ learning experiences.

Reporting to the Science Team Leader and supervised by the Head of Secondary, the Physics Teacher collaborates closely with fellow science educators to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to teaching and learning. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues who value innovation and welcome fresh perspectives, as well as engage with a motivated and enthusiastic student body.

Requirements:

• A degree(s) in education and/or a relevant teaching qualification.
• Training and experience in teaching Physics at the IB Diploma level or equivalent.
• Proficient English language proficiency, both verbal and written.
• A positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in international education settings.
• Proficiency in learning technology tools and platforms.
• Willingness to take on additional classes as needed.
