Primary ELL Teacher Role
As a Primary ELL Teacher, you will:
- Deliver tailored English language instruction to support students’ language development.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with IB curriculum standards.
- Provide targeted support to students who require additional language assistance.
- Monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate language development strategies across subjects.
- Foster a nurturing classroom environment that promotes student confidence and communication skills.
- Engage with parents to provide updates on student progress and offer guidance for home support.
Qualifications & Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or an equivalent in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 3 years of solid experience working in ELL or ESL roles, ideally within an IB curriculum school (though this is not mandatory).
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A student-centered approach with the ability to differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs.
- Excellent organizational and classroom management skills.
- A passion for creating inclusive learning environments that empower students to build language proficiency and confidence.
- Availability to start immediately is preferred.
