SIS Myanmar is looking to appoint a talented and passionate Primary General Science Teacher to join our forward-thinking academic team in Yangon. About SIS Myanmar

SIS Myanmar, located in the heart of Yangon, is a prominent international school that forms part of the SIS Group of Schools. In partnership with SLG Education, our school blends elements from the Cambridge Curriculum and the Singapore Nurturing Early Learners Framework, with a strong focus on Singapore Math and 21st-century skills. We currently provide a seamless educational pathway from Preschool through Primary and Secondary levels, with plans to launch a Junior College in August 2025.

Our academic programmes prepare students to sit for globally recognized assessments such as Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, and A/AS Levels. We aim to cultivate confident, well-rounded learners who are academically strong, emotionally intelligent, and globally aware.

Role: Primary General Science Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach General Science to primary students using inquiry-based and hands-on methods
• Design engaging lesson plans aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
• Promote critical thinking and a love for scientific exploration
• Integrate technology and interactive tools to enhance learning outcomes
• Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians on student progress
• Contribute to curriculum development and school-wide science initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Education (Science focus)
• Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least 5 years of relevant teaching experience
• Native-level fluency in English
• Excellent classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
• Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural and diverse school community
• Confidence in using digital tools to support science instruction
• Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
