Island Waldorf School is a non-profit, bilingual school located on Hong Kong Island. As the first Waldorf school established in this region, IWS offers playgroups, kindergarten, and classes for Grades 1–8, serving children aged 1–14. The school is guided by Rudolf Steiner’s Waldorf philosophy, which emphasizes age-appropriate, experiential, and child-centered learning.

Role Overview
The Primary Mathematics Teacher will design engaging math lessons that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. The successful candidate will integrate Waldorf principles into the teaching of mathematics, ensuring lessons are developmentally appropriate and connected to real-life experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics to primary students using creative and hands-on methods.
- Develop lesson plans aligned with Waldorf education principles.
- Foster curiosity and confidence in numeracy and problem-solving.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Familiarity with international or Waldorf curricula preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Enthusiasm for teaching in a diverse international community.
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
