Position Overview: Primary Music Teacher

The Primary Music Teacher will deliver engaging music lessons that encourage students to explore, perform, and appreciate music through various forms and traditions. The successful candidate will integrate Christian values into teaching and provide students with foundational music skills that inspire creativity and confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Teach general music to students in the primary grade levels
• Incorporate a biblical worldview into music instruction and classroom activities
• Design dynamic lesson plans that include vocal, instrumental, and movement-based learning
• Organize performances and events that showcase student talent
• Create a safe and inclusive environment where students can express themselves through music
• Collaborate with fellow educators on cross-curricular learning opportunities and school-wide activities
• Engage with parents and guardians to support each student’s musical development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education
• At least 2 years of teaching experience preferred
• Cross-cultural or overseas teaching experience is an asset
• Strong understanding of Christian education and faith-based instruction
• Excellent communication skills and classroom management abilities
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Flexible, adaptable, and committed to working in a diverse school community
