Role Overview: Primary Social Studies Teacher
As a Primary Social Studies Teacher, you will develop and deliver engaging lessons focused on history, geography, civics, and global cultures. Your teaching will promote critical thinking, cultural awareness, and a strong sense of social responsibility. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure cross-curricular integration and maintain strong partnerships with parents to support student development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Studies, History, Geography, or a related field
- Teaching certification such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in primary or lower secondary levels
- Solid understanding of Cambridge or international Social Studies curricula
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- High level of fluency in English
- Commitment to professional development and values-based education
- Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance instruction
- Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment
- Genuine enthusiasm for teaching in a culturally diverse Christian school community
