PYP Teacher, SEK-Catalunya International School, Spain

This school is based in Barcelona, Spain and is looking for a PYP Teacher.

Empowering students to become proficient communicators, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners through the exploration of inquiry-based learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and global mindedness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement teaching plans for transdisciplinary and disciplinary units.
• Attend department meetings and participate in collaborative planning sessions to design effective teaching strategies.
• Take part in standardizing assessment tasks to ensure consistency and equity in student assessment.
• Contribute to curriculum research and improvement by providing innovative ideas and resources to enhance student learning experiences.
• Stay updated on the PYP scope and sequence and ensure curriculum alignment.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and well-being.
• Participate in school activities such as festivals and Open Days, contributing to the broader school community.

Requirements:

• Qualified primary teacher.
• Teaching experience, preferably in the PYP.
• Trilingual proficiency in English, Spanish, and Catalan.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with educational platforms to enhance classroom dynamics and promote such tools with the team is appreciated.
