This school is based in Amman, Jordan and is looking for a Primary School Teacher.

Overview:

Islamic Educational College – Jabal Amman is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary School Teacher to join our esteemed educational institution. The Primary School Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young learners, delivering engaging lessons, and fostering their holistic development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and empower students to achieve academic excellence, embrace Islamic values, and become lifelong learners.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and age-appropriate curriculum for primary school students, integrating Islamic values, principles, and teachings into all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons across various subjects, including Arabic language, Islamic studies, mathematics, science, social studies, English language, and arts, that cater to students’ diverse learning needs, interests, and abilities.
  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn, fostering a sense of belonging, collaboration, and inquiry-based learning.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences, promote critical thinking skills, and facilitate students’ active participation and engagement in lessons.
  • Assess student progress and learning outcomes through ongoing formative assessments, observations, and feedback, as well as summative assessments, quizzes, tests, and projects, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community members to support students’ academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development, participate in school events and activities, and contribute to the overall school community.
  • Foster students’ character development, moral values, and Islamic identity through positive role modeling, mentorship, and Islamic enrichment activities, promoting ethical behavior, empathy, compassion, and social responsibility.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders, maintaining open lines of communication, addressing concerns or issues promptly and professionally, and actively participating in parent-teacher conferences, meetings, and professional development activities.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Teaching certification or qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience teaching primary school students, preferably in an Islamic educational setting.
  • Knowledge of Islamic principles, teachings, and values, with a commitment to integrating Islamic education into the curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders.
  • Creativity, adaptability, and innovation, with the ability to design and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse learning needs and interests of all students.
