The successful candidate will have a strong background in history education and a proven track record of engaging students in dynamic and innovative ways.

Main Responsibilities:

• Planning and Teaching: Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the French national curriculum and foster a love of history among students.
• Student Assessment: Assess and monitor student progress through regular testing, assignments, and feedback, ensuring all students achieve their full potential.
• Curriculum Development: Participate in the development and review of the history curriculum, incorporating current events and new historical research to keep lessons relevant and engaging.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
• Extracurricular Activities: Organize and lead history-related extracurricular activities, such as field trips, history clubs, and cultural events.
• Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest educational practices and historical research.
• Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and development.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History or a related field.
• Certification: Teaching certification recognized by French educational authorities.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching history at the secondary school level.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in French is required; knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage.
• Skills: Strong classroom management, excellent communication, and the ability to engage and inspire students.
