Position Overview: The Junior Primary Technology Teacher will be responsible for teaching ICT/computer/technology to younger children. The successful candidate will be an energetic, enthusiastic, and innovative individual with the relevant teaching qualifications and a deep understanding of the South African and IEB curriculum. They will have a passion for education, a creative outlook, and a solid understanding of the edtech space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach ICT/computer/technology to Junior Primary students.
• Develop and implement engaging and innovative lesson plans.
• Stay updated on international trends and innovative teaching methodologies in technology education.
• Foster a love for learning and inspire students in the digital age.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant teaching qualifications.
• Understanding of the South African and IEB curriculum.
• Experience teaching ICT/computer/technology, particularly with younger children.
• Knowledge of international trends and innovative teaching methodologies.
• Understanding of the edtech space.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Inspirational and motivational approach to teaching and learning.
• Love for working with children.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an independent school.
• SACE registration.
• Police clearance.
