Role Overview

The PYP Health/PE Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy living. The teacher will support the physical, social, and emotional development of students while modeling an active lifestyle. This role requires creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to inquiry-based learning within the IB PYP framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality PE and health lessons aligned with the IB PYP curriculum
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students
• Develop age-appropriate programs that encourage movement, coordination, and teamwork
• Integrate health education to promote lifelong wellness and well-being
• Use a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technologies to engage students
• Assess and report on student progress, offering constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular projects and school-wide initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Health Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least three years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB school
• Strong knowledge of health and physical education curriculum design
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Enthusiasm for working with a diverse, international student body
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and innovation in PE teaching
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
