The French International High School of Alicante Pierre Deschamps is recruiting a physics/chemistry teacher.
Job profile:
This is the French program taught in French. Students are prepared for the Diplôme national du brevet and baccalaureate exams. 80% of students do not have French as their mother tongue.
The recruited teacher will teach in middle and high school classes.
The teaching methods deployed must comply with French educational guidelines: take into account the skills targeted in middle school by the common core of knowledge, skills and culture, place the student in an active situation, practice an investigative approach, prioritize analysis over raw knowledge, promote educational innovation, practice a benevolent assessment by skills, develop multidisciplinary approaches, etc.
The teacher will participate in various educational meetings including class councils and parent-teacher meetings.
Knowledge of Spanish is desirable.
