About Ipeka Integrated Christian School

Founded in 1999, Ipeka Integrated Christian School (IICS) was established as the ninth school in the IPEKA system. Our mission is to deliver international-standard education for Indonesian students. Today, IICS serves over 1,000 students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. The school uses English as the primary language of instruction while also teaching Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia to develop multilingual capabilities.

Our academic program aligns with the Australian curriculum standards for Grades K–9, transitioning into a pre-IBDP track in Grade 10 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Grades 11 and 12. Role: Science Teacher (Physics/Chemistry/Biology)

As a Science Teacher at IICS, you will:

• Deliver engaging, concept-based lessons in Physics, Chemistry, or Biology that align with international standards.
• Inspire students to think critically, solve real-world problems, and explore scientific inquiry with curiosity and confidence.
• Foster a dynamic and inclusive classroom where every student feels supported and challenged to grow.
• Integrate Christian values and a Biblical worldview into scientific topics to promote ethical and responsible thinking.
• Design lab activities and experiments that build practical scientific skills and deepen student understanding.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align interdisciplinary projects and support a cohesive learning experience.
• Maintain strong communication with parents and provide consistent updates on student performance and progress.
• Participate in school events and ongoing professional development to stay updated on the latest educational best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or a closely related field.
• Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience teaching Science at the middle or high school level.
• Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, Cambridge, or Pearson is highly desirable.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Eagerness to work in a diverse and multicultural school community.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
