Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role involves teaching science to students across a range of ages and abilities, with the potential to specialize in physics, chemistry, or biology at the IGCSE and A-Level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education, a passion for teaching, and the ability to inspire and engage students in a lifelong pursuit of knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative science lessons that meet curriculum requirements and the needs of all students.
• Encourage scientific inquiry by developing students’ skills in research, experimentation, and critical thinking.
• Assess and evaluate students’ progress, providing feedback and tailored support to ensure high levels of achievement.
• Foster a positive learning environment that promotes a love of science and supports students’ academic and personal growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches into teaching and learning.
• Participate in professional development, curriculum development, and school improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and the school community regarding students’ progress and school activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with certification to teach Science.
• Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level, including IGCSE and A-Level or equivalent.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to and embrace cultural diversity.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
