Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Teaching Responsibilities:

• Create engaging and focused classroom environments aligned with the IB philosophy.
• Utilize innovative teaching methodologies to cater to diverse learning styles.
• Model the IB learner profile and encourage students to become compassionate, open-minded learners.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Prepare and deliver lessons, assessments, and reports aligned with IB requirements.

Team Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum planning.
• Share expertise and resources to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Stay informed about current teaching trends and developments in science education.

School-wide Responsibilities:

• Mentor a group of students academically and pastorally.
• Foster a positive sense of community among staff and students.
• Assist with cover lessons, placement exams, and other school-wide duties as needed.
• Attend meetings and fulfill supervision duties as required by the school calendar.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and teaching qualification in Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related field.
• Right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work VISA).
• Immaculate police check(s).
• Minimum of two years of recent teaching experience in a comparable school environment.
• Experience teaching in an IB school is preferred.
• Strong planning, organizational, and digital skills.
• Fluent in English (CEFR level C1-C2).
