Role Overview: Secondary Art Teacher
As the Secondary Art Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lessons that build students’ artistic skills, critical thinking, and appreciation for the arts. You will facilitate a variety of media projects—from drawing and painting to digital art—and support students as they explore their creative voices.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Art to students in lower and upper secondary levels
- Create hands-on, project-based learning experiences
- Encourage students to explore multiple styles and cultural influences
- Organize exhibitions and contribute to the school’s visual culture
- Collaborate with staff to support cross-curricular initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art Education or a related discipline
- Valid teaching license or equivalent international certification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in secondary-level art instruction
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with the ACE curriculum or other American educational programs is preferred
- Ability to integrate technology into art instruction
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Passion for teaching in a diverse, faith-informed international environment
