Role Overview
The Secondary Chemistry Teacher will design and deliver high-quality lessons that engage students in scientific exploration and critical thinking. The teacher will create an interactive classroom environment that supports both conceptual understanding and practical applications of chemistry.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Chemistry at the secondary level using international curricula
- Develop creative and inquiry-based lesson plans that encourage experimentation and problem-solving
- Guide students through laboratory work and ensure safety at all times
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches to learning
- Support school-wide initiatives and participate in extracurricular programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least three years of teaching experience in Chemistry or a similar subject
- Familiarity with international curricula and inquiry-based teaching methods
- Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to integrate educational technology to enhance learning outcomes
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, multicultural school environment
