Role Overview
The Secondary Computer Science Teacher will deliver engaging and practical lessons in programming, data science, networks, algorithms, and emerging technologies. This role demands expertise in modern computer science concepts, hands-on teaching strategies, and familiarity with international curricula, particularly the IB framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach secondary-level computer science and related technology courses
- Integrate IB methodologies and project-based learning into classroom instruction
- Guide students in developing coding, problem-solving, and computational thinking skills
- Use innovative technologies to enhance teaching and learning
- Assess student progress and provide actionable feedback
- Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum improvement
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum three years’ experience teaching at the secondary level
- Knowledge of international curricula, preferably IB
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in education
