Role Overview
As a Secondary Computer Science Teacher, you will teach subjects such as programming, data science, information technology, and digital literacy. You will design engaging lessons that emphasize problem-solving, logical thinking, and innovation. By integrating real-world applications of technology, you will equip students with the skills they need to succeed in higher education and future careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive computer science lessons aligned with international curricula
- Teach programming languages, coding principles, and technology integration
- Incorporate project-based learning and hands-on assignments
- Guide students in understanding cybersecurity, digital ethics, and responsible technology use
- Assess and track student progress through varied evaluation methods
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-disciplinary learning initiatives
- Encourage student participation in technology-related clubs and competitions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least three years of teaching experience in computer science or IT
- Strong knowledge of programming, algorithms, and technology integration
- Familiarity with international school curricula and best practices in digital learning
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and innovation in teaching
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
