About The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Boys (SZPAB)
Established in 2015, The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Boys (SZPAB) continues the legacy and vision of the Late President, H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Located in the heart of Abu Dhabi, SZPAB is the brother institution to The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Girls, which was founded in 2000.
Our student body is primarily composed of Emirati students whose families value the school’s mission: “Honoring the past. Educating for the future.” This guiding principle shapes our school culture and curriculum delivery.
SZPAB offers a blended curriculum that combines the American Massachusetts State Common Core Curriculum with the UAE Ministry of Education subjects, including UAE Social Studies and My Identity. In addition, the academy features the unique Eyal Zayed Program, developed in partnership with the UAE Armed Forces, which cultivates leadership, loyalty, and civic responsibility among students.
Role: Secondary English Teacher (Grades 6–12)
We are looking for a talented English Teacher to deliver engaging lessons that support students’ academic and personal growth in Grades 6–12.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the English curriculum aligned with American Common Core Standards
- Foster a student-centered learning environment
- Create lesson plans that promote critical thinking, reading, and writing skills
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly
- Collaborate with faculty to support cross-curricular initiatives
- Participate in school-wide events and contribute to the broader school community
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English or a related subject
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching secondary English
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
