Position Overview: Secondary Humanities Teacher
The Secondary Humanities Teacher will teach a combination of subjects such as history, geography, and social studies across various secondary grade levels. Lessons will emphasize critical thinking, cross-cultural understanding, and biblical integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking humanities lessons
- Incorporate a biblical worldview into classroom instruction
- Encourage students to analyze global issues and historical events
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
- Foster a supportive and respectful classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-disciplinary projects
- Participate in staff devotions, mentoring, and professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education or degree in a related field with a teaching qualification
- Experience with IB or IGCSE curriculum preferred
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a secondary school setting
- Overseas or cross-cultural teaching experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of Christian education
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
