Role Overview
As a Secondary Physics Teacher, you will teach physics across the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). You will design engaging lessons that combine theory, experimentation, and inquiry-based learning while encouraging students to think critically and solve real-world problems. By fostering curiosity and exploration, you will guide students to develop both a strong academic foundation and a passion for science.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality physics lessons aligned with IB standards
- Develop students’ skills in scientific inquiry, analysis, and problem-solving
- Integrate laboratory work, experiments, and technology into the classroom
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments with academic rigor
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities
- Support extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure student success
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years’ teaching experience, preferably in international or IB schools
- Strong knowledge of physics content and pedagogy
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to professional growth and innovative teaching practices
- Proficiency in integrating digital tools and new technologies into lessons
- Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural international school community
