Role: Secondary Physics Teacher
As a Secondary Physics Teacher, you will play a key role in developing students’ analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and passion for science. This position requires an innovative and experienced educator who can deliver engaging lessons and prepare students for A-Level Physics.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Physics up to A-Level, following the National Curriculum for England.
- Develop engaging, inquiry-based lessons that enhance scientific understanding.
- Prepare students for examinations and higher education in STEM fields.
- Utilize formative assessment tools to track student progress and refine the curriculum.
- Promote critical thinking and hands-on learning through practical experiments and investigations.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to enhance the overall curriculum.
- Encourage students to participate in science competitions, research projects, and extracurricular activities.
- Stay updated on best practices in Physics education and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum for England
- Experience teaching Physics up to A-Level
- At least three years of teaching experience in a high-performing UK or international school
- Strong background in formative assessment and curriculum development
- A team-oriented approach, with the ability to collaborate and support colleagues
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to student success
