Role: Secondary Psychology Teacher
As a Secondary Psychology Teacher, you will help students develop analytical skills, research abilities, and a deeper understanding of human behavior. This role requires a passionate educator with a strong background in Psychology and experience in teaching A-Level students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Psychology up to A-Level, following the National Curriculum for England.
- Develop engaging lesson plans that encourage critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning.
- Prepare students for examinations, university admissions, and future careers in psychology-related fields.
- Implement formative assessments to track progress and refine teaching strategies.
- Use real-world case studies, experiments, and interactive activities to enhance learning.
- Collaborate with the Humanities and Social Sciences department to strengthen the curriculum.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being.
- Stay updated on best practices in Psychology education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent and up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum for England
- Experience teaching Psychology up to A-Level
- At least three years of teaching experience in a high-performing UK or international school
- Strong background in formative assessment and curriculum development
- A team-oriented approach, with the ability to collaborate and support colleagues
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to student success
