About New Zealand School Jakarta

New Zealand School Jakarta (NZSJ), formerly known as New Zealand Independent School (NZIS), has proudly served the Jakarta community since 2002. Our school was founded to deliver a well-rounded and progressive education based on the New Zealand Curriculum (NZC) to young learners of all nationalities living in Indonesia.

In 2019, NZSJ successfully completed the Government of Indonesia Ministry of Education accreditation program, achieving outstanding results: 93% for our Primary School and 91% for our Secondary School. These achievements reflect our unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

Position: Secondary Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the New Zealand Curriculum.
• Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes student success.
• Foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning among students.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support holistic development.
• Encourage cross-cultural understanding and global citizenship through everyday teaching practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject.
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching at the secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and effective communication skills.
• High proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural international school community.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective teaching practice.
