Role: Senior Deputy Head of Primary

As the Senior Deputy Head of Primary, you will:

• Lead and promote high standards of safeguarding, student well-being, and child protection.
• Support, represent, and deputise for the Head of Primary.
• Play a key role in developing the School Improvement Plan, Strategic Direction, and Self-Evaluation framework.
• Foster a positive school image by promoting the school’s mission, vision, and values.
• Implement and monitor policies that support student development, staff performance, and school routines.
• Mentor and coach staff to encourage professional growth and improve teaching practices.
• Ensure effective communication between staff, students, parents, and the wider school community.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to maintain the school’s Outstanding status under the Dubai Schools Inspection Framework and the British Schools Overseas (BSO) standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A certified teaching qualification such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent.
• NPQH or NPQSL is preferred.
• At least five years of proven experience teaching in a Primary British curriculum school.
• Previous experience in a similar leadership role.
• Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to develop trusting relationships and inspire staff.
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with parents, staff, and students.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for enhancing teaching and learning.
• Strong IT skills to support school management systems and communication.
