Role Overview: Special Education Teacher
As a Special Education Teacher, you will design and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to the learning profiles of students with mild to moderate learning needs. You will collaborate with therapists and fellow educators to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), support inclusion in mainstream subjects, and create a nurturing classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, SPED endorsement)
- At least 2 years of experience working with students requiring learning support
- Familiarity with international curricula such as Cambridge or IPC
- Strong knowledge of learning differences and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education and child-centered learning
