Position: Special Education Teacher

As a Special Education Teacher at AMSI, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning abilities and helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Adapt lesson plans, teaching methods, and classroom strategies to accommodate diverse learners.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction to support academic and social development.
• Use assistive technologies and evidence-based strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
• Foster social-emotional learning by creating an inclusive, safe, and engaging classroom.
• Stay up to date with best practices in special education through professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
• A recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed, Master’s in Education/Teaching, or equivalent certification).
• Experience working with students with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other special needs.
• Familiarity with inclusive education strategies, behavioral management techniques, and differentiated instruction.
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs and specialized learning plans.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with educators, therapists, and families.
• Knowledge of UAE teacher certification requirements (TELS UAE) is preferred.
